Heroines and Heroes in Contemporary Science and Medicine

Men and women in the 20th and 21st centuries have changed the world for the better through their lives and work in biomedical science. In this course, you will meet a select group of these heroes and heroines and learn of the discoveries they made and the paths they followed. In learning about these individuals you will become familiar with different scientific and medical disciplines including: marine biology, ecology, pathology, physiology, pharmacology, virology, chemistry, bacteriology, and physics.
