New York production of the Off-Broadway Sensation Coming to the LMC Mendel Center
BENTON TOWNSHIP, MI – The Lake Michigan College Mendel Center is seeking actors and actresses for the upcoming Off-Broadway production of Tony n' Tina's Wedding playing April 18 to 21, and April 25 to 28. Tony n' Tina's Wedding is an interactive play that spoofs an Italian-American wedding, complete with reception dinner and dancing. The local actors are cast as family members and wedding staff who will perform next to the regular touring cast members. The audience plays the guests.
Auditions are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 9 and 10, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. each day, at the LMC Mendel Center. We are seeking young men and women ages 19-30 and older men and women ages 40-60. Only people with outgoing personalities need apply. No experience necessary, but improvisational skills and acting experience is helpful. Actors must be available for rehearsals and all performances. This is an excellent opportunity to work with professional actors from the New York production.

The Mendel Center is just a 40-minute drive from Kalamazoo, Mich. and South Bend, Ind. Located on the Napier Avenue campus of Lake Michigan College, the Mendel Center is one mile east of I-94 on Napier Avenue (exit 30) and also ½ mile west of the US-31 Bypass (exit 24) at 2755 E. Napier Avenue, Benton Township, Michigan.
