Hands-on Experience and the Internship

Many MSU and VESTA courses have lab and hands-on learning components to allow students to learn necessary skills. The internship is a larger extension of this concept and is a paid position with an employer in viticulture. This position earns three credits toward the MSU certificate and has its own requirements that the MSU agriculture programs coordinator works with the student to satisfy. Generally this internship is done over the summer between the first and second year of the program and each student must work a minimum of 480 hours for their employer. 

There is no geographic restriction for this internship, only that the student must be able to relocate if needed to perform the duties of the job satisfactorily.
