Tuition Waiver - Siena Heights University Employees

Policy Statement:

Full-time employees of Siena Heights University, who are currently working at Siena's LMC extension center, may receive tuition abatement privileges for Lake Michigan College credit classes and continuing education classes.

Siena Heights University employees who are permanently located on the LMC Napier Avenue Campus, and their IRS eligible dependents, are eligible for the abatement of 100% of tuition. All College fees are considered separate from tuition and shall be paid in full by the individual.

Full-time Siena Heights employees teaching or performing administrative duties while not permanently located on the LMC Napier Avenue Campus are eligible for the abatement of 100% of their own tuition and 50% of the continuing education fee.

Academic credit is not awarded for continuing education classes and "tuition" is not charged. The charge for participating in a course or event varies widely and is called a "fee." The Siena Heights employee is eligible for the abatement of 50% of the fee.
