Fast track registration and financial prep offered
BENTON TOWNSHIP, MI – As the fall semester grows closer, Lake Michigan College is helping students avoid the pressure of last minute registration with a new service called Walk-in Wednesdays.
Throughout the month of July, new and returning students can stop by any LMC campus on Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. for fast track class registration, help with financial aid, academic advising, and assessments. Appointments are not necessary and staff will be on-hand to guide students through the process.
The College hopes the Wednesday events will encourage earlier class registration and financial preparation. Those who register early have a better selection of classes, can choose class times that best accommodate their schedules, and have more time to handle the details of getting financial aid in place for the semester.
“We’re always looking for ways to make the process easier and more convenient for students,” said Vice President of Student Services Dr. Clinton Gabbard. “Walk-in Wednesdays offer one-stop service so students and families can quickly get back to enjoying their summer knowing they’ve taken care of business.”
Walk-in Wednesdays will be held at the College’s Napier Avenue, South Haven, and Bertrand Crossing campuses. Those who visit the Napier Avenue Campus between 5 and 7 p.m. can enjoy free hot dogs and refreshments and tours of campus and Beckwith Hall, the first residence hall at LMC that will open this fall.
