Employees of Lake Michigan College are encouraged to further their education and training at the College through the Board of Trustees Educational Grant Fund program.
Each full time employee of Lake Michigan College, is eligible for the payment of 100% of the Lake Michigan College tuition for the employee, his/her spouse, and Internal Revenue Service qualified dependents. With the permission of the supervisor, administrative and classified employees may take one such course during the workday.
Adjunct faculty are eligible for the reimbursement of 100% of the Lake Michigan College tuition paid by the employee, his/her spouse, and Internal Revenue Service qualified dependents on a prorated basis, equal to one credit hour for each credit hour taught. Unused educational benefits may be accrued and used in the semester following their accrual upon the written approval of the Dean.
Regular part time employees (20 hours per week or more) are eligible for the reimbursement of 50% of the Lake Michigan College tuition for the employee, his/her spouse and Internal Revenue Service qualified dependents during the semester in which the employee is continuously employed.
The individuals to whom the Grant applies must be admitted to the College and enrolled in the classes for which they are eligible. All College fees are considered separate from tuition and shall be paid in full by the individual registered.
