Tuition Reimbursement Benefits - Adjunct Faculty

Policy Statement:

Adjunct appointees are eligible for the reimbursement of 100% of the tuition paid by the Adjunct, his/her spouse, and IRS dependents on a prorated basis, equal to one credit hour for each credit hour taught. This benefit applies to classes taught at Lake Michigan College only. Unused educational benefits may be accrued to a maximum of thirty (30) credit hours, to be used within two (2) years of accrual or forfeited.

Any adjunct faculty member/spouse/eligible dependents wishing to participate in the tuition reimbursement program must pay the tuition and fees at the time of registration. At that time, a form requesting reimbursement of tuition may be completed. Those forms are available from the wall rack mounted outside the Human Resources Office. The reimbursement request will be processed upon receipt at the Business Office of a signed contract provided that the tuition and fees had been paid at time of course registration.
