Discuss the Weather and Dance Up a Storm with Lake Michigan College

Registration Now Available for March’s Community Education Classes

NILES, MI – Lake Michigan College is offering several Community Education classes in March at its Bertrand Crossing Campus and at New Buffalo Area Schools. The following is a sample of classes offered. 

Stormy Weather
Does Lake Michigan or its bluff protect the area from tornados? Southwestern Michigan experiences several types of severe weather. This class outlines the conditions that produce these storms and gives a short history of the science behind them. Appropriate for home-schoolers.

Time: 9 – 11 a.m.
Place: Bertrand Crossing Campus

Cost: Free

Just Dance
Join the fun and learn the basics of dance! This class is built for fun, exercise, relaxation, and anyone of any age. NBAS Dance instructor, Jennifer Fiero, leads the six week course, focusing on basic jazz and hip hop dance principles. She will also introduce participants to the guidelines of positioning, breathing, and stretching. Comfortable clothes are recommended for this class. This class requires a minimum of 10 students.

Date: Tuesdays, March 5, 12, 19, 26, and April 9, 16
Time: 6 – 7 p.m.
Place: Dance Studio, New Buffalo Area Schools, Clay Street
Cost: $59
