February 19, 2013

Registration Now Available for March Courses

SOUTH HAVEN, MI –Lake Michigan College’s South Haven Campus is offering several Community Education classes in March. The following is a sample of classes offered.

Make Your Own Ukrainian Egg (Pysanky)
Have fun learning to make Ukrainian eggs! Nearly all ages and stages can learn the art of “pysanky”. It’s a great class for first-timers, so participants don’t have to be artsy or crafty to enjoy the experience. The beautiful eggs make fantastic gifts. Kids do best starting at about age 9 (up to age 16 must be with a parent or guardian).

Date: Saturday, March 2
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Place: South Haven Campus (Room SH 215)
Cost: $25

Haiku to the Rescue
These classes are about the art and science of living “from the inside-out”. Participants will discover what haiku poetry is and how it can work as a mediation, all while examining the psychology of who we are and how best to handle the wildly bouncing ball of life.

Date: Thursdays, March 14-18
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
Place: South Haven Campus (Room SH 141)
Cost: $15
