    LMC Radiologic Technology Program Earns Continued Accreditation

    Lake Michigan College’s Radiologic Technology program has earned continued accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). LMC’s is the only accredited radiologic technology program in southwest Michigan.

    Lake Michigan College will host a special Health Care Career Open House on August 13 at their Napier Avenue Campus. Current and prospective students can meet with faculty members to learn more about the wide variety of health care career paths available and what training is required to get started.

    Barbara Radewald of Benton Harbor was named the 2013-2014 Lake Michigan College Mendel Center Mainstage Volunteer of the Year during the College’s 22nd annual volunteer appreciation party.

    LMC Dedicates Space to Veterans

    Lake Michigan College has created Liberty Hall, a resource and study room for the exclusive use of students currently serving in the armed forces and student veterans of the armed forces. Veteran enrollment at the College has grown steadily over the past 5 years, including a 24 percent increase last year to a record 135 veterans.

    New Era at Lake Michigan College Marked by Grand Opening of First On-Campus Residence Hall

    A new era at Lake Michigan College was launched Friday when faculty, staff, students, and community members celebrated the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Beckwith Hall, the first on-campus student housing facility in the College’s 68-year history.

    LMC Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Earns National Accreditation

    Lake Michigan College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography program has earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). It is one of eleven colleges in the state of Michigan, and the only one in southwest Michigan to hold the designation.

    LMC Hosts Walk-in Wednesdays in July

    Throughout the month of July, new and returning students can stop by any LMC campus on Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. for fast track class registration, help with financial aid, academic advising, and assessments. Appointments are not necessary and staff will be on-hand to guide students through the process.
