LMC’s Community Education Classes Offer a Variety of Topics in April

Registration Now Available for April Courses

SOUTH HAVEN, MI –Lake Michigan College’s South Haven Campus is offering several Community Education classes in April. The following is a sample of classes offered. 

Basic Travel Photography
Students will learn how to take photographs of their travels that will tell the story of where they went, what they saw, and perhaps even show others why they went there. Delve into how to photograph an urban, rural or aquatic area, and learn what to look for and what to avoid. Students should bring their camera, instruction book, and spare batteries.

Date: Mondays, April 1 - 29
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
Place: South Haven Campus
Cost: $39

The Problem of Evil
Evil is a world-wide issue, but it is intensified in monotheistic cultures. When only one god is recognized, it is sometimes difficult to explain the difference between Eastern and Western world-views regarding evil, and then proceed to explain how the problem of evil has been dealt with in different time periods.

Date: Mondays, April 8 - May 27
Time: 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Place: South Haven Campus
Cost: $29

Vegetable Gardening 101
Van Buren County MSU Extension and local Master Gardeners are offering a basic course in vegetable gardening. This program is designed for those who would like to learn how to grow a vegetable garden or those who have been gardening for a few years and would like to learn more.

Date: Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 9 - 25
Time: 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Place: South Haven Campus
Cost: $45
