Physical Therapy (Pre)
Physical Therapy (Pre)
The Classroom Experience

Lake Michigan College's Pre-Physical Therapy transfer program focuses on the science and mathematics courses you will need when you continue your education at a four-year college or university.

You can expect LMC coursework to include:

  • Chemistry
  • Human Development
  • Anatomy
  • Physiology
  • Physics
  • Microbiology

In addition, you will also study areas including English, psychology, humanities, computer literacy, and communications.

You'll be encouraged to use computer and multimedia tools like the Internet and PowerPoint in your assignments.

In order to complete an Associate in Science Pre-Physical Therapy degree, it is extremely important that you follow the science/math sequence set up in the LMC College Catalog. It is equally important to research the specific requirements for admission into the Physical Therapy Program at the four-year school in which you plan to attend.

Technology in the Classroom
A variety of technologies are used in conjunction with traditional lecture and hands-on activities. PowerPoint presentations, videos, DVDs, the Internet and materials available on Canvas (the College's instructional Intranet) play an important role in class.
