Registration Now Available for April’s Community Education Classes

NILES, MI – Lake Michigan College is offering several Community Education classes in April at its Bertrand Crossing Campus. The following is a sample of classes offered

Spanish for Fun
This 8-week community education class offers a no pressure and condensed overview of most of what first-year Spanish courses typically cover at the secondary and college levels. Cultural discussions on the Spanish-speaking world will also be an important piece of the course. This class requires a minimum of 10 students.

Date: Tuesdays, April 9 – May 28
Time: 7 – 9 p.m.
Place: Bertrand Crossing Campus
Cost: $100 (no discounts apply)

Cooking with Herbs
Chef Tim Carrigan leads students from the magnificent herb garden outside his kitchen window into his creative kitchen. He will show participants how to use herbs to infuse every day dishes with flavor and aromas to brighten up their culinary repertoire. Some eating of homework is required.

Date: Saturday, April 13
Time: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Place: Fernwood Botanical Garden, Rangeline Road, Buchanan
Cost: $20 (no discounts apply)

Parenting with Love and Logic
In this seven-part parent training program, participants receive practical advice that can be put into immediate effect, while gathering ways to feel more confident and relaxed as a parent. Two people from each family should attend.

Date: Thursdays, April 18 – May 30
Time: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Place: Bertrand Crossing Campus
Cost: $30 (cost includes textbook)
