Islam began circa 1400 years ago, yet a true Muslim would say it has been here much longer. In form and structure, Islam is much like Judaism and/or Christianity/ but there are obviously significant differences. This course will explore both the similarities and the differences while seeking to grasp what it is like to be Muslim in the post- 9/11 world. Your instructor, J. David Tidwell, has taught Islam and studied the Qur’an and also lived in Saudi Arabia for 6 years.
