Upon nomination, an application will be sent to the candidate. Award winners will be recognized at the College's 2014 Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 4.
The Lake Michigan College Board of Trustees and LMC President Dr. Robert Harrison were joined by LMC Foundation Board Member James Krzyzewski and Student Senate President Miranda Bachman to cut the ribbon opening the new student activity center at the Napier Avenue Campus called the Hawk’s Nest.
The public is invited to begin the Christmas season by attending the inaugural Lake Michigan College Fine and Performing Arts Madrigal Feast, December 6 and 7 at 6:30 p.m. in room F-117 of the Mendel Center.
Local historian Jim Ellis will trace the history of Madron from its founding in 1926 through its eventual sale in 1984 at a presentation at Lake Michigan College’s Bertrand Crossing Campus.
Lake Michigan College enrolled a record 136 veterans this year, a 24% increase over last year’s enrollment, which was also a record. Veteran enrollment numbers have been steadily increasing since 2009, at LMC and nationally, when the expanded Post-9/11 GI Bill became effective.
The Lake Michigan College Jazz Band, Chamber Players, String Ensemble, and Gospel Ensemble will present their Fall Fine Arts Concert on Friday, November 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Hanson Theatre.
Mannheim Steamroller and PANDORA Jewelry, the tour sponsor, will present the best the holiday has to offer this season. The group will perform live at the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center Mainstage on Sunday, December 22, at 4 p.m.
