MENDEL CENTER MAINSTAGE
at Lake Michigan College
Presents an Outstanding Line-up for the Mendel Center Mainstage 2007-2008 Season

This season's exciting Broadway line-up includes recipients of six Tony awards and one Grammy award as "Chicago" and Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar" will highlight the bill. The hit interactive comedy "Late Nite Catechism" will transport audience members into a classroom of what is sure to be a hilarious and enjoyable adult catechism lesson.

Ballet fans will not want to miss the Tchaikovsky Ballet and Orchestra, a company of 60 dancers and 50 musicians, who will perform "Swan Lake," while the Vienna Boys Choir will present traditional holiday music in its show "A Christmas in Vienna."

The broad selection of musical performances will include the multimedia extravaganza "Weird Al" Yankovic Show, complete with video, costume changes and his full band; the legendary music of The Glenn Miller Orchestra playing such hits as "In the Mood" and "Moonlight Serenade;" and "1964 the Tribute," called by Rolling Stone magazine "the No. 1 Beatles tribute show on earth."

Additionally, Grammy Award-winning artist Melissa Manchester will perform her hits and some Christmas favorites, while the group America will also visit the Twin Cities to entertain audiences with their hits including "A Horse with No Name," "Ventura Highway" and "Tin Man."

Family entertainment on the upcoming bill includes the dramatic play with music, "Buffalo Soldier," a based-on-the-true-story heroic tale of the brave soldiers of the 9th and 10th cavalries, who served our country with little recognition during the Spanish-American War. In addition, American Family Theater's performance of "Cinderella" is a perfect show for the first-time theatre experience.

Mainstage Premiere Partners and current Series Patrons will receive ticket information in May.
