Fab Lab Bootcamp

This workshop is a sampler of the Fab Lab equipment to get you hands on with the 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, Vinyl Cutter and software design all in one day! Participants will be assisted to create something on each piece of equipment, be provided with a safety overview and leave with a basic understanding of machine use and applications.
Fab Lab Bootcamp is a great way to get comfortable in the Fab Lab and see if you’d like to sign up and learn more about a particular piece of equipment.
No prior software or training required. Each participant will walk away with something lasered, 3D printed and at least one vinyl design, ready to hang.
The Fab Lab at Lake Michigan College is an open access digital fabrication studio and collaborative workshop. We provide access to information, tools, software and space for anyone who has an interest to learn and create. The Fab Lab provides open access to design software, laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, sewing machines, mini-lathes, woodshop, CNC router (ShopBot) and hand tools.
