Established in 1946, Lake
Michigan College is a two-year comprehensive community college
located in the southwest corner of Michigan, serving Berrien
County, Covert Township in Van Buren County, residents of the
South Haven Public School District and adjacent areas of Michigan
and Indiana.
Lake Michigan College has
four campus locations within Berrien and Van Buren Counties.
The College's service area, with a population of 270,000, extends
from Elkhart, St. Joseph, and LaPorte counties in Indiana up
to South Haven, MI. Located just 90 miles east of Chicago, the
area offers a high quality of life, rich in cultural and recreational
opportunities.
The College serves more
than 7,000 students annually in academic and corporate training
programs and more than 200,000 attend cultural events, meetings
and conferences held on campus. LMC offers associate
degree and certificate programs with credits assured to
transfer to four-year colleges and universities, as well as
career programs in health
care, business and
industrial technologies.
