Alumni & Friends Cruise 2008

Cruise the Baltic
May 15-29, 2008

Cruising the Baltic you breathe in history everywhere you go! Our home for this unforgettable voyage is Norwegian Cruise Lines' Norwegian Jewel, a floating luxury resort; complete with fine meals, extravagant production shows, a full casino, fitness center, movies --and unparalleled service throughout!

Join Lake Michigan College President, Dr. Randall Miller, as he hosts the Lake Michigan College Alumni and Friends Cruise 2008 on this 'once-in-a-lifetime' experience.

Arrive in Dover, home to the White Cliffs of Dover and the gateway to London. Tour London's West End, Oxford Street, Trafalgar Square and Westminster Abbey. Travel north to Windsor Castle and the River Thames.

Arrive in a world once ruled by Vikings and Czars.

Stroll cobble stoned streets in Copenhagen, infused with the spirit of Hans Christian Anderson and the Little Mermaid.

In Berlin, shop, dine or stroll along the chic, tree-lined "Unter den Linden Strasse." Walk through the fully restored Brandenburg Gate, once the crossing point between a divided Berlin. Warnemuende is a major maritime center and the gateway to Berlin.

Tallinn, is a medieval treasure! Founded in 1154, Tallinn is one of the oldest cities on the Baltic Sea. Wander Toompea Hill and enjoy all the charms of the Old City, virtually preserved in its original state.

Spend two full days in "The Venice of the North" St. Petersburg. Sample the myriad of spectacular museums, cathedrals and extravagant palaces, like those of Catherine the Great and Peterhof -- a visit to the Hermitage is an unforgettable experience.

Helsinki is home to the Lutheran Cathedral. Shop Market Square where you'll find fresh produce and local handicrafts.

In Stockholm, wander through Gamla Stan (Old Town) or the Vasa Museum.
