Lake Michigan College at South Haven Campus Features
Opened
in August 2003, the 41,909 square-foot facility was designed
to be a focal point in the South Haven community. The 50-foot
copper “sail” at the west end of the building is
a signature feature and marks the campus as a special place.
An outdoor plaza and an indoor commons area both serve as gathering
places for students and community members alike.
Flexible technology is incorporated into all aspects of the
building. A wireless network throughout the building allows
students and registered guests to access the College’s
network, including a high-speed connection to the Internet.
Two mobile laptop “labs” with 16 computers each,
can turn any classroom into a computer lab through the wireless
network.

The campus also features two permanent computer
labs. One is equipped with 24, Gateway Profile systems. The
other houses 17, G4 Macintosh systems and is used for the new
Graphic Design program.
