The Classroom Experience - Electronics Technology

At Lake Michigan College, classroom activities will allow hands on learning in electronics. New equipment that was introduced in 2003, will have you using the most up-to-date, user friendly computers.

This new equipment gives instant feed back on electronic tests and on the tasks you've just completed. These tests let you practice the skills you will need once you begin working in the electronics field.

Open Entry/Open Exit Course Format
Electronics Technology courses at LMC are presented in an open entry/open exit format. This provides you with several benefits including:

  • Flexibility to enter courses at any time during the semester, as long as space is available

You will be taking coursework in areas such as DC/AC Electricity, Semiconductors, Linear Electronics, Digital Electronics, Industrial Electronics, and Communications Electronics. You'll also be able to take different courses in PC Hardware, Microprocessors, and Motor Controls that will give you the background skills you'll need in most electronic areas.
