Fire Science

With over two million fires reported each year in the United States, hundreds of thousands of people owe their lives and safety to fire fighters who have come to their aid.

These skilled rescuers put their lives on the line to protect people and property, and do so willfully. Becoming a fire fighter takes hard work and persistence, but the rewards are unlimited.

Lake Michigan College, in conjunction with five Michigan community colleges, offers certificate and degree programs in Fire Science to train you for a challenging career in fire fighting.
