Co-Ops and Practical Experience - Legal Office Systems

Co-op experience is an elective for Lake Michigan College's Legal Office Systems certificate program and a requirement for the degree program. In the degree program you can choose to do two semesters of co-op to fulfill your graduation requirements.

Your co-op can either be paid or unpaid. If you are currently employed, there is also the possibility of being able to work with your employer to structure a plan to meet your co-op requirement. Ultimately, the key is to work with LMC's co-op coordinator to verify that the co-op experience you are choosing meets the requirement of giving you the practical experience in the legal office assistant field.
