Co-Ops and Practical Experience
- Management and Marketing
Co-op experience is a requirement for the Management and Marketing
degree program. Additional semesters of co-op are available as
a degree elective.
Your co-op can either be paid or unpaid. If you are currently
employed, it may be possible to work with your employer to structure
a plan to meet your co-op requirement. If you are not already
employed, look to the Career Services center for available co-ops,
or contact the co-op coordinator for additional resources.
Along with the 15 hours of work per week, a one-hour meeting
with your co-op coordinator will fulfill the co-op requirements.
The co-op coordinator and your employer will evaluate your work.
These evaluations, along with homework grades, will determine
your final grade.
Ultimately, the key is to work with Lake Michigan College's co-op
coordinator to verify that the co-op experience you are choosing
meets the requirements of giving you practical experience in the
management and marketing field.
