It is in the news - jobs in nursing are plentiful as we
face a national shortage of professionals in the field.
Because of an aging population and advances in treatment,
the need for more nurses is only expected to increase for
the foreseeable future.
Nursing is a profession that requires compassion and
caring coupled with medical knowledge, attention to detail,
and the drive to help others. It is a demanding career
that provides many rewards, both emotionally and financially.
Traditionally seen as a "woman's career," nursing
is attracting more and more men. As they enter the field,
men join their female counterparts in experiencing the
rewarding challenges that come from helping others.
