Bob Harrison - Executive Dean
Executive Profile:
Innovative leader with more than twenty-five years of broad
based, progressive experience in healthcare and education. SKilled
in identifying problems, formulating solutions and successfully
implementing programs. History of balancing customer needs and
cost to obtain optimal results.
Career History:
As Chief Operating Officer at Lakeland Regional Health System
from 1980-1999, Bob oversaw day-to-day operations of three acute
care hospitals having 425 beds and combined expenses of maore
than $170 Million. He integrated three separate hospitals into
one health system, had profit and loss responsibility for acute
care services, merged three separate medical staffs into one
combined medical staff, achieved operationsl savings so the
Net Operating Income exceeded 5% for each year with no overall
price increase, and established exclusive contracts for hospital
based physicians. As the Dean of Community and Business Services
at Lake Michigan College, Bob developed new lines of business
resulting in a 20% increase in revenue, hired staff to expand
services, expanded existing programs to increase overall enrollment
by 25%, achieved operational savings resulting in a 15% improvement
in the profit margin, served on the leadership team for the
college, and revised and expanded the Small Business Development
Center. Beginning July 1, 2003, Bob assumed the duties of Dean
of Occupational Studies and Business Services. Bob will oversee
the credit arm of the college dealing with healthcare, business
and technology programs and continue to oversee operations for
the Community and Business Services division.

Joe Pepple - Training Coordinator
Expertise: Program design
based on computer related technologies. Computer operations,
systems operations, desktop applications and Internet. Research,
design and development of training and evaluation courses of
programs.
Experience:
Joe has a wide range of experience and skills for you to draw
upon, from computer repair to web planning and development.
Joe is a life long resident of Berrien County. He has spent
the past 10 years in the computer industry as a computer repair
person, Director of Internet Technologies Division, and the
Executive Director of a local Full Service Computer Company,
offering Computer sales, repair and Internet technologies. He
was the trainer for a statewide computer-training contract through
Lake Michigan College, which delivered Windows and Microsoft
Word to over 2,000 people. He currently serves as the Computer
Training Coordinator through Community & Business Services
at Lake Michigan College, offering program design and advisory
capacities to Business & Industry and Continuing Education.
He also delivers training for all Internet related technologies.
Education and Affiliations:
Joe's formal training comes from Lake Michigan College, through
the Computer Information Systems program, and Trinity Bible
College in Leadership and Education. Joe is a Master Microsoft
Office User Specialist, (MOUS), and holds a certificate from
Microsoft. Joe is also recognized as a "Certified Business
Professional" in the field of LEADERSHIP. Joe holds a certificate
from Certiport as an Internet and Computer Professional (IC3).
Joe belongs to the CIS Advisory Committee and Web Management
Team at Lake Michigan College. Joe is a member of the Berrien
County ISD Business & Technology committee. Joe is a member
of AIP, Association of Internet Professionals, and Phi Theta
Kappa International Honors Fraternity. Joe is active in the
American Cancer Society and is an active member of the New Life
Christian Center, where he is the Director of Music and Board
member.

Debbie Gillespie- Training Coordinator
Expertise: Programs designed
based on observation and needs assessment. Research, design
and development of evaluations, classes or programs for your
organization.
Experience: Debbie has
a wide range of expertise and skills for you to draw from. In
her first five years in Community and Business Services, she
has created both academic and non-academic classes. She brought
GED to LMC- our MTEC site is an approved GED testing center.
She also administers the Tabe and WorkKeys assessments. Debbie
also coordinates the Homeland Security training for local first
responders, police officers, firefighters and EMTs. She customizes
classes for local business and industry and creates open enrollment
classes for the general public. Before coming to CBS, she worked
as an Event Coordinator in the Conference and Events Services
department here at LMC.
Education and Affiliations:
Debbie received her Associates Degree from LMC in 1998
and her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in
2002. She is currently the Vice- President of the Board of the
Soup Kitchen, Benton Harbor. She is also an associate member
of the St Joseph FOP 96. At LMC, Debbie serves on the Bertrand
Crossing Advisory Board, the Service Excellence Advisory Board,
the Hospitality Advisory Board , co-chairs the Holiday Food
Basket and contributes a monthly column on the people and events
at MTEC for on the move.
