Conference and Event Services - Wedding Package


Thank you for considering the Mendel Center for your wedding reception. Our package plan is designed to simplify every Bride's planning experience and provide you with an all inclusive price per person. Conference & Event Services does not charge a gratuity or service charge. On site experienced catering professionals are available to take care of every detail from the planning process to the day of your wedding. Our goal is to make sure your wedding day is truly a memorable one. We create memories that will last a life time.

Package Includes

  • 2 entrées from our Buffet menu, potato and vegetable
  • Pre-dressed salads will be served to the table with rolls
  • All meals include coffee and water service
  • China table service, white linen table cloths with your choice of available colored linen napkins
  • Complimentary cake cutting
  • Consecutive 5 ½ hours of beer, wine, soft drinks and house liquors served in glassware. The limited beverage packages of beer, wine and soft drinks or soft drinks only are served in disposable cups
  • With our compliments the Bridal Party will receive 2 bottles of champagne or non-alcoholic sparkling juice
  • Security will be scheduled during your reception
  • The Bridal Party may be seated on a raised platform with tables clothed and skirted up to 12 guests (If bridal party exceeds this amount, additional platforms may be rented)

How to reserve a date

  • A Signed rental contract and deposit are required to reserve a date.
  • Event space is assigned according to the anticipated number of guests. If the number of guests increases or decreases it may be necessary for us to reassign the space accordingly. An increase will be accommodated only if there is space available.
  • Event space includes up to 6 hours (including clean up) complete with tables, chairs, dance floor, registration table, gift table, cake table, guest book stand and microphone.
  • Access to the room for decorating purposes may begin at 10 am the day of your event.

  • Slice Roast Beef Au Jus - Sliced Roast Top Round of Beef Au Jus
  • Beef Burgundy - Beef Tips Served with Mushrooms in a Red Wine Demi Glaze
  • Roasted Prime Rib ($3.00 extra per person) - Accompanied with Au Jus and Horseradish Sauce
  • Roast Pork Loin - Herb Crusted Pork Loin Sliced and Topped with a Ribbon of Plum Sauce
  • LMC Chicken - Chicken Breast Topped with Dried Cherries, Pecans and Enhanced with a Supreme Sauce
  • Honey Glazed Chicken - Chicken Breast Served with a Butter and Brown Sugar Honey Sauce
  • Champagne Chicken - Chicken Breast Seared with a Cream Cheese and Champagne Reduction Garnished with Slivered Almonds, Green Onions and Golden Raisins
  • Baked Lasagna - Layers of Pasta with Meat and Cheese in a Red Sauce
  • Baked Ziti - Tubes of Pasta with a Blend of Beef and Italian Sausage Tossed with a Blend of Cheese and Marinara Sauce
  • Vegetarian Lasagna - Layers of Pasta filled with Carrots, Spinach and Cheeses in a White Cream Sauce
  • Portabella Stuffed Mushroom Ravioli - Accompanied with a pink sauce
  • Pasta Primavera - Penne Pasta Tossed with Fresh Vegetables in an Alfredo Sauce
  • Baked Salmon ($2.25 extra per person) - Filet of Salmon Topped with a Lemon Basil Cream Sauce

Whipped Potatoes (traditional style or with garlic), Au Gratin, Whipped Sweet Potatoes,
Whipped Red Skins, Parsley Boiled Redskins, Roasted Red Skins w/Herb Seasoning,

Green Bean Amandine, Buttered Whole Kernel Corn, Honey Dill Glazed Carrots or

Policies
Deposits and Billing
An advance deposit is required in order to confirm space. Conference & Event Services can receive payments by credit card over the phone or by mailing a check payable to Lake Michigan College. The next payment to be made is for 25% of the estimated total due 90 days prior to your event. Another 25% of the estimated total is due 30 days prior to your event. Final payment is due 10 days from receipt of the final invoice which is mailed to you after your event.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of your event less than 180 days prior to the scheduled date will result in the forfeit of the deposit. If you cancel less than 60 days prior to the scheduled date will result in a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the anticipated billing. In circumstances beyond its control, LMC and Conference & Event Services are not liable for the cancellation of an event.

Guarantee Policy
A guaranteed number of guests must be received four working days before your event by 12 pm. (If your event is on Saturday, the count would be due on Tuesday.) This is the minimum number for which you will be charged. No reduction in guarantee will be accepted after this time. However, if you are over your count the day of the event you will be invoiced accordingly.

Food & Beverage Service
All food and beverage must be supplied by Lake Michigan College with the exception of wedding/birthday cakes. No food or beverage may be brought into the facility. In addition, no food prepared by the Department of Conference & Event Services will be permitted to leave the premises.

Multiple Entrée Selections
Should you wish to offer your guests a choice of two entrées served, a breakdown indicating how many of each entrée is due at the same time as your guaranteed count. The client will be responsible for providing color-coded place cards or name tags indicating entrée selections.

Liability
Damage done to the property as a result of a group function will be at the host organizations expense. The Department of Conference & Event Services and Lake Michigan College cannot assume responsibility for the damage to, or loss of, any articles left prior to, during, or following an event.
