Career Opportunities
As a secondary school teacher, you can work in high schools or community colleges and specialize in a specific subject, such as English, Spanish, mathematics, history, or biology. You also can teach subjects that are career-oriented, such as health care, business, auto repair, communications, and technology.

Transfer Opportunities
Courses required beyond the following vary from university or college secondary education program. It is essential that you consult with a counselor or academic advisor for the specific requirements of the college you plan to attend. The Secondary Education major requires students to identify the school they wish to transfer to by the end of their first full year at the community college. Students must work closely with a secondary education advisor at the beginning of their LMC coursework.
