About the Area of Study
Geography is the study of the description, distribution, and interaction of the diverse physical, biological, and cultural features of the Earth's surface. Geography prepares you for a wide variety of careers such as elementary and secondary school teaching, tourism and travel, environmental studies and analysis, regional and urban planning, and cartography.

Graduates find job opportunities in school systems, colleges and universities, and government agencies. The courses allow you to broaden your knowledge and awareness of the world and its people.

If you are planning to transfer to a four-year school, you should become familiar with the entire four-year program, selecting courses to meet as many requirements as possible. You should see your advisor for assistance and approval.
