Business programs available at Lake Michigan College include:

Accounting
Graduates of the two-year Accounting program are prepared for entry level accounting positions such as bookkeeper, accounts payable, or payroll clerk and as assistants to line and staff accountants.

Administrative Office Systems
This program consists of office skills, software training, keyboarding, and coursework to prepare students for entry into the field of business, government or professional firms. Graduates are prepared for a full range of information processing and administrative duties.

Business Administration
This program provides the foundation for a career in accounting, economics, finance, general business, management, marketing, personnel and industrial relations, public administration, and other related areas.

Computer Information Systems
Lake Michigan College and Western Michigan University cooperate to offer two programs of study leading to four-year degrees in information systems. Both degrees may be started at Lake Michigan College through the Computer Information Systems department and students may transfer the earned credits to Western Michigan University for the completion of the four-year degree.

Hospitality Management
Hospitality Management includes any job related to providing food or lodging to the public. Managers work in hotels, motels, resorts, golf courses, country clubs, schools, colleges, airlines, and sports stadiums. They have knowledge of marketing, supervision, customer service, cost control, computerized hotel systems, rooms, and hospitality procedures.

Legal Office Systems
The Legal Office Systems program prepares students for the highly skilled and specialized field of legal office practice for private attorneys, judges, prosecuting attorneys, and legal organizations.

Management & Marketing
This program prepares students for entry-level management positions in business and industry. Graduates will find employment opportunities in areas such as personnel administration, customer relations, advertising, sales, and merchandising.

Medical Office Systems
The Medical Office Systems program is designed to prepare students for employment in a physician's office, hospital, nursing home, pharmaceutical company, government agency, or other health agency.

Restaurant and Lodging Management
The restaurant and lodging industry is benefiting from the population growth and increase in leisure time. Students who prepare for a professional career in the restaurant and lodging industry face exciting and diversified opportunities. All coursework completed in earning this degree transfers toward a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Davenport College.
