Early College - Eligibility

To participate in direct credit and dual enrollment classes, you must first meet the eligibility requirements of your high school. Work with your high school guidance counselor or Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director to find out if you qualify. You must also show that you are ready to handle college-level work.

To do this you can either take Lake Michigan College's assessment or provide your ACT or SAT scores to LMC. Students with ACT scores of at least 18 in writing, 17 in reading, and 16 in math qualify to take college level courses at LMC.
