Taking college courses while still in high school is a great
way to get first-hand experience as to what college work will
be like. Early College may also be a great way to lighten your
course load as a College freshman.
But, what's really great is that Early College direct credit
and dual enrollment classes may count toward your high school
graduation requirements while giving you a jump start on college.
The key is to work closely with your high school counselor to
make sure you choose the right classes.
Did you know that during your junior and senior years of high
school, you can:
- Reduce the overall cost of college
- Prepare for college by experiencing college-level courses
- Earn college credit that will transfer
- Better understand your real potential
How?
By taking direct credit and dual enrollment classes through Lake
Michigan College.
By taking LMC classes offered at your high school or at one of
our campuses, you can make your junior and senior years more meaningful
and get a jump start on college.
The credits you earn in high school may also help you lighten
your course load when you are in college full time, making your
transition from high school to college go more smoothly.
Check with your guidance office for more details.
