Scholarship Detail - Business/Computer Information Systems

Barnes and Noble Business Scholarship*
Amount: Varies

  • For students majoring in a two-year business degree or a business transfer program
  • High school applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • College applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Charles M. Hedges Memorial Scholarship
Amount: Varies

  • For students accepted to the 2-year Accounting Program or the 4-year transfer Business Administration Program (Accounting major)
  • Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • May be a full-time or part-time student
  • Do not need to demonstrate financial need to qualify

Swing-Lo Suspended Scaffold Scholarship*
Amount: Varies

  • Preference will go to a minority student majoring in Business
  • For full-time or part-time students
  • Must be academically successful
  • Must have financial need
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Twin Cities Association of Insurance Women Scholarship*
Amount: $500

  • Be residents of the LMC in-district area
  • Be returning LMC students
  • Have and maintain a 2.5 GPA for eligibility and/or renewal
  • Provide a letter of recommendation from a member of the LMC faculty
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Preference will be given to students enrolled in a Business Studies program
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Whirlpool Corporation Leadership Scholarship*
Amount: Varies

  • For two high school students entering college for the first time and for two adult students
  • High school applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, must be enrolled full-time, and working to complete an associate degree in a Occupational Studies program related to business
  • Adult applicants must have achieved a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours per semester, and working to complete an associate degree in an Occupational Studies program or taking classes to enhance their job related skills
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Y Esat & Benju Sezer Scholarship*
Amount: Up to $500 per year

  • Must reside within the district the College serves
  • Preference to those enrolled in IT/CIS degree program
  • Must maintain a 2.5 GPA to receive the Winter allocation
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Lake Michigan College Scholarships have been established by generous friends, organizations, businesses, and LMC to help students succeed in achieving their educational goals. The required qualifications for each scholarship are listed below. To apply for a scholarship designated with an asterisk(*) you must also complete a "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA - click for the online version) and indicate LMC (Title IV code 002277) as a college you plan to attend.
