Scholarship Detail - Manufacturing/Engineering/Technology

American Electric Power Scholarship*
Amount: Varies

  • For a resident of the LMC district in Berrien and Van Buren Counties
  • Must be enrolled in the industrial technical field, with preference given to students enrolled at M-TEC
  • Must enroll for a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Must be employed at any entry level position
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

B & B Molders Scholarship*
Amount: Varies

  • Reside within the LMC district with preference to students resideing in the Michiana region
  • Be enrolled in the Plastics Technology program of study
  • Be a recent high school graduate entering college for the first time
  • Have a minimum high school 2.5 GPA to apply
  • Maintain a minimum college 2.5 GPA for renewal
  • May be enrolled full or part-time
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Elisha Gray II Scholarship
Amount: Varies

  • For students pursuing a two-year manufacturing technology or transfer engineering degree
  • High school applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • College applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA
  • May be a full-time or part-time student
  • Do not need to demonstrate financial need to qualify

Harry B. Ross Scholarship
Amount: Varies

  • For a returning LMC student pursuing a career in engineering or the sciences
  • Preference will be given to full-time students
  • Must have proven him/herself by outstanding work in their chosen subjects
  • Must show intelligence, ingenuity, persistence and enthusiasm for their studies as demonstrated by their grades and the recommendations of their teachers
  • Do not need to demonstrate financial need to qualify

Standen Memorial Scholarship
Amount: Varies

  • Will be in-service area residents including the northern Indiana counties of St. Joseph, Mishawaka, and LaPorte
  • May be current high school graduates entering college for the first time, current college students, or non-traditional students
  • Must be enrolled/enrolling in industrial arts or manufacturing technology programs
  • May be full or part-time students, enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Must demonstrate interest and aptitude for a career in industrial arts/manufacturing technology
  • Must have earned a minimum 2.3 GPA to apply or qualify for renewal
  • Do not need to demonstrate financial need to qualify

Lake Michigan College Scholarships have been established by generous friends, organizations, businesses, and LMC to help students succeed in achieving their educational goals. The required qualifications for each scholarship are listed below. To apply for a scholarship designated with an asterisk(*) you must also complete a "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA - click for the online version) and indicate LMC (Title IV code 002277) as a college you plan to attend.
