Since 1992, the number of music majors at Lake Michigan
College has grown from 3 to 25

Lake Michigan College music students have transferred into
prestigious four-year institutions, majoring in choral and
instrumental music education, music therapy, performance and
pedagogy, music librarianship, recording technology, and church
music

Outreach
activities include middle school/high school clinics, workshops,
and recitals; Monday Musical performances; Fernwood WAUS Second
Sunday series; Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra concerts;
Southshore Concert Band summer outreach & mall concerts;
Jazz Band performances at the Box Factory for the Arts and
more

The Lake Michigan College music faculty includes active solo,
chamber and orchestral musicians, experienced ensemble directors,
published composers, and ward-winning classroom teachers

1992, overall enrollment in music courses at Lake Michigan
College has increased from 307 to 585

Community participants in the Lake Michigan College music
program comprise a diverse group who pursue the study of music
for personal enrichment: music department alumni, dual enrollment
high school students, international students, young professionals,
retirees, as well as members of the LMC community
