Musical Instruments
The quality and availability of pianos and the large ensemble

recruit students. As part of its plan to seek national accreditation
and meet its goal of providing students with the best possible
music education, the Department proposes the purchase of ten pianos,
a string bass, a harp, and instrument storage cabinets.

Learning Environment - Practice Rooms
Increase the number of practice rooms from two, to eight. Currently,
two practice rooms are shared by 50 to 60 students enrolled in
applied lessons. The rooms are not sound proof, and their availability
is limited by their location ancillary to the large rehearsal
room.
Goal: $100,000
- Six soundproof modular practice rooms
Student Accessibility - Endowed Student Scholarships
A strong scholarship program is the foundation of an excellent
music program. It is used to attract students of extraordinary
talent, which improves the quality of the program, and attracts
other students. Additionally, scholarship support will help make
the music program accessible to students of a broader economic
spectrum.
Goal: $200,000
- 20 Named Endowed Scholarships at $10,000 per scholarship
"Having the opportunity at LMC to participate in the
Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Choir, Show Choir and student
