How can you help?
-
Endowment Fund
An Endowment can be your legacy to future generations of students
because once established, it is self-perpetuating. When an
individual makes a gift of $10,000 or more to the Lake Michigan
College Foundation, a new endowment fund can be established
and the assets are immediately invested for future growth.
-
Pledges of Support
You can set up your pledge by completing the gift reply envelope,
available through the Lake Michigan College Foundation. (Request
an envelope) Pledges, payable over five years, can be
made to the LMC Foundation.
-
Estate Planning
Several options are available including: Charitable Gift Annuity,
Charitable Remainder Trust, Pooled Income Fund, and Charitable
Lead Trust. If you already have a will, you can remember Lake
Michigan College by adding a codicil to it.
-
Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Gifts can be designated for programs of special interest to
the honoree or person being remembered.
-
Gifts of Stock & Other Assets
Contributions of assets can include: cash, stocks and bonds,
life insurance, mutual fund shares, art work, real estate,
and retirement plan assets. Stocks and securities may be electronically
delivered to the Lake Michigan College Foundation.
-
Matching Gifts
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs that can double
or triple your gift to the Lake Michigan College Foundation.
Request a form from your personnel office and send it to us
with your gift. Service clubs may also match your gifts.
-
Credit Card Gifts
Gifts can be made via phone or mail.
-
Tax Advantages
Your gift to the Lake Michigan College Foundation may qualify
for a federal tax deduction, and Michigan residents qualify
for a 50% tax credit for gifts up to $400 for couples filing
jointly, and $200 for single-filers. We encourage you to work
with qualified tax counsel to determine the exact cost of
your gift depending on your personal circumstances.
