Lake Michigan College sits squarely in
the center of an educational and occupational revolution. Technology,
industry and community needs, teaching methods...all keep changing
at an ever-increasing rate. Adapting to these changes is imperative
to the success of us all. But we must adapt quickly, because
at no time has the opportunity to affect the lives of our residents
and the quality of life in our region been so closely intertwined.
To become an outstanding community, we
need outstanding people who can meet the high-skill demands
of today's business. Equipping our people - our workforce -
with these skills is the competitive edge our region needs to
keep and attract the businesses and services that define communities
of choice.
Lake Michigan College must meet this
revolution head-on. If we address issues essential to our region
and its residents - we can help our region, and its people,
fulfill their dreams.
You can fulfill the dreams of not only
the people you live and work with, but also your dream of making
a difference in the community you call home. Lake Michigan College's
Advancement Program, Fulfill the Dream, gives you the
opportunity to improve student access to an education, improve
the cultural richness of the region, improve the programs and
services the College offers area residents and improve the quality
of skills employees bring to our businesses. Your investment
in LMC can help fund important educational and cultural programs
that keep our communities moving ahead.
You're probably asking, what is the
Lake Michigan College "Fulfill the Dream" program?
Fulfill the Dream is a five-year program designed
to seek and raise private support to address four major areas
of need at Lake Michigan College: Student Scholarships, Cultural
Programs and Enrichment, Student Life and Facilities, and Academic
Programs and Innovation.
Funds raised through the campaign will
build on the existing base of College funds, public grants and
other fund-raising programs. The campaign addresses more than
$12 million of identified needs in order to ensure program quality,
enhance accessibility to students and enrich the quality of
life within Lake Michigan College's communities.
