A Career Services consultant is available to provide comprehensive support in all aspects of workforce development. Career exploration, local job postings, and other support services are included. The Career Services office is conveniently located in the Richard J. Pappas Student Services Center on the Napier Avenue Campus. Information brochures are also available in the main reception area of the Bertrand Crossing, South Haven, and M-TEC campuses.
Job Boards
The Career Services office posts local and regional employment opportunities on job boards at each campus. Stop by the main reception area at each campus for the locations of the job boards or call Career Services at (269) 927-6284.
Student Employment/Work Study
Part-time, on-campus employment opportunities are available for students through the Work Study Program. If you have completed your FAFSA, are taking at least 6 credit hours in Fall and/or Winter semester and are in good Academic Standing, you are eligible for a Work Study position. The amount of money that can be earned is based on the availability of funds and/or the student's financial need. Students interested in on-campus employment should contact the Work Study Office in the Richard J. Pappas Student Services Center or call (269) 927-8100 ext. 6284.
Whirlpool Earn and Learn Internship Program
The Whirlpool Earn and Learn Internship Program is funded by a $500,000 gift from Whirlpool Corporation and the Whirlpool Foundation. The program was established during the Lake Michigan College Fulfill the Dream Advancement Campaign and is administrated by LMC through the Office of Career Services. The program is designed to encourage LMC students to participate in, and local businesses to support, student internship programs.
