Student
IDs 2008-09:
New Student I.D. Cards for the 2008-2009 school year will be available at the One-Stop Center beginning April 14, 2008, the opening day of Fall registration.
All
current students with 2007-08 IDs will not have to pay an additional fee to
update their cards. We will be providing students with 2008-09 stickers, at no charge, beginning Monday, April 14, 2008. Students can pick up stickers at
any campus, providing they enroll for fall semester. New students will have to
pay the initial $3 fee. All students will have to pay the replacement fee of
$10, if they lose their ID cards during the year.
Special
Note: As a courtesy, students who paid for a 2007- 08 ID card and can't find it
for some reason, will be charged a $3 new card fee. This is a
"one-time" only deal.
Each
academic year, all LMC students need to obtain an LMC Student Identification
Card. Cards cost $3 and are valid for one academic year. The 2008/09 cards are
valid from Fall 2008 through Summer 2009. Returning students with a 2007/08
card will need to purchase a new card for the new academic year.
Obtaining a Card
Visit the
Student Services area of the Napier Avenue, Bertrand Crossing or South Haven
campuses during regular business hours with a photo identification (valid driver’s
license, passport, or other official identification card) and the $3 fee. Your
card will be issued while you wait. A $10 replacement fee will be charged for
lost or damaged ID cards.
Card Guidelines
Students must
carry their ID cards when on campus and be able to present the card if asked to
do so by LMC faculty or staff. Loaning or allowing someone else to use your
card is prohibited.
Card Benefits
LMC
Student ID cards allow students to use campus computer labs, check out
materials from the LMC library, use of the Wellness Center, gain free admission
to LMC home athletic events and earn a 10% discount on Mendel Center Mainstage
tickets. Several local businesses offer discounts to students with valid IDs. A
list of merchants providing these types of discounts are listed on the LMC
website.
