Diversity and Leadership Diversity Audits and Training

Your key to a targeted investment in diversity training and corporate Interpersonal Improvement in today’s global economy.

A diversity audit is the first step in fine-tuning your organization to meet the cultural challenges of today’s business world. Our trained staff works with you on-site to assess your current strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities through a combination of focus groups, on-line survey, and review of your marketing materials and internal policies and procedures. The end result is a report of your organization’s current overall “health.” With this knowledge your management can make decisions about specially targeted training that meets the unique needs of your institution.

Why a Diversity Audit?
It is unlikely that your organization is at “ground zero” in terms of its diversity awareness. Standard diversity training that is not geared to the needs and culture of your institution or company wastes your time and money and can be counterproductive to your goals. The end result can easily be employee resentment about having to spend time in “another one of those” diversity training sessions.

A diversity audit, on the other hand, builds interest in and awareness of diversity issues. It is also sends a positive message to employees that management is concerned about the cultural climate within the organization.

Diversity Training
All companies can benefit from ongoing diversity training. Diversity awareness is a process, not a place. The key to being competitive in a global marketplace is using training tailored to the unique conditions and development within your individual organization. Diversity training should address many different levels of awareness. Our staff provides customized training on many aspects of diversity to different segments within your organization based on your particular needs and challenges.

Document Review
Marketing materials and internal policies and procedures may be sending unintentional messages to both external and internal "clients." Our review pinpoints threats and opportunities for your printed documents.

Focus Groups
Our structured, one-hour focus groups create a comfortable, confidential setting for employees to express their opinions on various diversity and corporate climate issues. Participants are usually selected at random to proportionally represent your employee population. Management focus groups are separate from general population groups, but these can be tailored to your particular situation.

Customized Survey
Based on the results of the focus groups, we create a survey of all your employees. We prefer to conduct the survey through an on-line questionaire, but we can also conduct paper surveys. The survey is completely confidential. Individual responses are not accessible, but group results can be segmented by gender, age, department, or other factors you may specify. We create a survey report for you based on these results.

Diversity Summary
In addition to the survey results, we prepare an in-depth report on all our findings. This report uses the SWOT analysis method (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) and provides you with a complete picture of your corporate cultural health and suggests ways for your to organization to meet the challenges of a diverse workplace.
