As you look through our website, I hope that you get a sense of the many things that Lake Michigan College means to the communities we serve.

For our students, we are a stop on their life’s path as they earn the education that will lead them to living their dreams. While they are here, they build their skills, gain higher levels of confidence, make new friends, and, along the way, have some fun.

For the businesses throughout southwestern Michigan, we are their partner for customized training. By developing their employees’ skill base, these companies become more competitive in the local, national and global marketplaces. That’s good for all of us.

For thousands of residents of our region, we are a gathering place. World-class entertainment on the Mainstage brings the arts close to home. Our Community Education series brings people of all generations together to share stories and experiences while discovering new interests. The Mendel Center is a hub for community activities from the Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan and the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra, to weddings, trades shows, and business events – it all happens here.
