Temporary LMC Office to Open in South Haven
BENTON TOWNSHIP, MI -Lake Michigan College will
begin staffing a temporary office in South Haven City Hall at
539 Phoenix Street beginning July 1 in anticipation of the opening
of the new South Haven campus in August.
LMC staff will be available at the temporary site
to help students register for fall classes. from July 1 through
August 14 on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursdays from
3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The office will also be open two Saturdays,
July 12 and August 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"We want to make this easy for anyone who
wants to take classes. Having class registration services readily
available before the campus opens is a high priority for us,"
states Janice Varney, executive dean of the South Haven Campus.
"The City of South Haven has been instrumental in helping
us make this happen by providing space to the College during
the summer."
Prospective and returning students will be able
to complete an application for admission, apply for financial
aid or scholarships, work with a member of the LMC advising
team to build a class schedule, register for classes, and order
textbooks.
Fall classes begin August 25 at the new campus
as well as at LMC's three other locations in Benton Harbor and
