Computer Training Workshops at LMC's South
Haven Campus
BENTON TOWNSHIP, MI - Lake Michigan College's
Community and Business Services division is offering several
computer training classes in several popular software packages
at the South Haven campus located at 125 Veterans Boulevard.
Included in the course fee for each session are instruction
from software experts, training manuals and technical support.
Computing Fundamentals
March 2 & 4, 6 - 9 p.m., $99
Participants will identify hardware components, explore software,
and discuss issues to consider when purchasing a computer system.
Mastering the Internet
April 5 & 7, 6 - 9 p.m., $99
This class utilizes advanced hands-on activities to help users
master the Internet. Topics include graphical user interface
(GUI) Browsers, file transfer protocol, Telnet, BBS, and newsgroups.
The Computing Fundamentals course is a pre-requisite for this
class.
Getting to Know Your Palm Pilot
May 11, 6 - 9 p.m., $199
Participants will learn how to install software and efficiently
use a Palm Pilot. Included in the course fee is a Palm device
each student will receive at the beginning of class.
Design Your Own Web Page
May 21, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., $99
Participants will learn how to work with webpage templates,
enhance web pages, use graphics, crate tables and frames. This
course utilizes Microsoft FrontPage. Computing Fundamental and
Mastering the Internet are pre-requisites for this class.
