Broadway Musical - Fosse ~ A Celebration Of
The Work Of Bob Fosse

BENTON TOWNSHIP, MI - Fosse, the 1999 Tony Award winning hit
musical, will heat up the stage at the Lake Michigan College
Mendel Center Mainstage on Sunday, May 16th, at 7:00 p.m.
Fosse, recreates some of the best work of the
legendary dancer, choreographer, and director Bob Fosse. Fosse
was the first director ever to win the Oscar, Tony, and Emmy
Awards all in a single year. His work is unique and easily recognizable
with the seductive mixture of physically aggressive dance moves
and dazzling visual style. Fosse is a collection of outstanding
numbers from his stage, film and television work including Sweet
Charity, Pippin, Chicago, Dancin', Damn Yankees, New Girl in
Town and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and
All That Jazz.
His style revolutionized the musical theatre with
Broadway hits and award-winning films. Long-time Fosse stars
Gwen Verdon and Ann Reinking joined to create this salute to
Bob Fosse's groundbreaking work. The show offers many outstanding
numbers including "Big Spender" from Sweet Charity,
"I Wanna Be A Dancin' Man" a tribute to Fred Astaire,
Benny Goodman's "Sing, Sing, Sing," and "Mr.
Bojangles." The live orchestra adds energy to the already
energetic numbers. An extraordinarily talented cast of 28 dancers
brings Broadway's all-time best choreography to the stage in
this one amazing performance!
