Lake Michigan College Announces Incoming 2005/2006
Athletes
BENTON TOWNSHIP, MI - Lake Michigan College has
announced that 28 student athletes are joining its intercollegiate
athletic program for the 2005-2006 academic year. The College's
program includes women's volleyball, basketball, and softball
as well as men's basketball and baseball.
"We're proud to be the only college in Southwest
Michigan offering intercollegiate athletic opportunities for
students," states Doug Schaffer, LMC athletic director
and head coach of the men's basketball team. "Our coaches
have done an excellent job in recruiting local talent, with
75 percent of our incoming student athletes from local area
high schools."
