The Skilled Trades Technology program at Lake Michigan College gives you an advanced level of education beyond your certified apprenticeship training agreement. This program gives you individualized study that provides training to a specific trade.

With over 20 skilled trades available, you can select coursework that supports your career goals. At LMC, you'll learn industry trends and get hands-on, real world experience.

Note: Once achieving the status of journeyperson, you may only need a few more courses to earn an Associate in Skilled Trades Technology.

Career Information

Throughout southwest Michigan and northwest Indiana, there are many manufacturing employers that are looking for trained individuals to fill high-skill, high-wage, high-demand positions. As a student in the Skilled Trades Technology program, you can train for careers in metalworking, drafting, industrial maintenance, or electronics. This industry is relying more and more on computers and new technology. read more
