Alcohol and Drugs
Lake Michigan College maintains a drug-free workplace and subscribes
to the national goal of a drug-free society. The Board of Trustees
and the administration believe that drug abuse education and prevention
programs are essential in dealing with illicit drug use and alcohol
abuse by students and employees on College premises or while engaged
in College-related activities. Such abuse of drugs and alcohol
by students and staff constitutes a grave threat to their physical
and mental well-being and significantly impedes the learning process.
Lake Michigan College complies with local, state, and federal
laws including those that regulate the possession, use, and sale
of alcoholic beverages and controlled substances.
