Job Shadowing Program
Scholars explore a variety of careers they are interested in learning more about. Scholars locate a local business within that career field, draft a letter of interest to job shadow for a day, and follow up the letter with personal contact. Once a scholar has been accepted to job shadow, UB staff and the scholar work on a list of questions to be answered during the shadowing experience. After the job shadowing, the scholar develops a report over his/her experience and presents it to the other UB scholars.

Workstudy Program
During the summer, eligible scholars may explore a career that requires a post-secondary education by working under the supervision of a professional in that career. Scholars earn a monthly stipend as indicated in a contract between the scholar, supervisor, and UB staff.
