What is WaveLink?
WaveLink is an easy-to-use, web-based system that allows students and college employees to keep track of important college information and events and access helpful college services.
What type of information will be offered through WaveLink?
Some of the information and services that you'll find within WaveLink include:
- Access to WaveLink Services, Lake Michigan College's online registration & student information system
- Important college dates and events
- Customized reminders and announcements
- Your virtual class schedule list
- Access to course webpages
- Information on student organizations and clubs
Who is eligible for a WaveLink Account?
- Returning students who were enrolled in classes during the previous semester and currently registered students
- All full- and part-time permanent college faculty and staff
Username - your 8 digit College ID number
Initial Password - 6 digit number based on your birthdate MMDDYY
You may stop by the Student Service centers at any campus location for account information and help.
What do I need to access WaveLink?
To access the services available through WaveLink, you will need the following setup:
- A computer with an internet connection
- A web browser (Windows : IE 5.5 SP2 or higher, Netscape 4.79 or higher; Mac IE 5.1, Netscape 4.79)
- Cookies, Java, and Javascript must be enabled in your browser settings (for IE users, this usually corresponds to the 'Medium' setting in the 'Tools - Internet Options - Security' section)
Please note that the new version of WaveLink will only work with web browsers that support 128 bit encryption. For more information on supported browsers, please read over the following information.

Special Instruction for IE 6.X users
IE 6.X users - please note that with the new privacy/security settings incorporated into IE 6.X, you will have to make the following changes to your browser settings to access WaveLink :
Under the 'Tools-Internet Options' menu -
- Click on the 'Privacy' tab
- In the 'Web Sites' section (lower part of the screen), click on the 'Edit' button
- Three websites needs to be added to allow IE 6 to accept cookies from them when the request is initiated by WaveLink - lakemichigancollege.edu, infospace.com and conduttura.com. The last two websites provide the user survey and the newsfeed info for the 'My Pipeline' section and the 'Personal Profile' section within WaveLink
- Type the first address into the 'Address of Web Site' field and click on the 'Allow' button. It should now show up in the 'Managed Web sites' window below
- Repeat this until you have entered all three website addresses - you should now have three entries in the 'Managed Web sites' window
- When done, click the 'OK' button to close out the various windows
That's it! you should now be able to log in to WaveLink!
